Well, it has been a clean year since Replaylee was revealed. RWP hasn't really talked about it since. I figure we should have a more proper dedicated thread for this now the game looms nearer, and we know a lot more about it. In particular, the demo just dropped recently on various platforms!!! Anyone played it??
Here's an early demo/dev commentary video from last year. We learned a lot from this video! Genuinely loved hearing the devs talk it was very insightful.

WONDERING WHAT THE HECK THIS REPLAYLEE NONSENSE IS ALL ABOUT??? WONDER NO MORE:
- Unspecified 2025 release date
- Improved 4K visual overhaul of the entire game & reworked controls. New moves, focus on moves being faster slicker and able to be chained together
- More in-depth narrative with a bit more backstory (at least at the beginning). Characters are far more expressive
- Fully orchestrated soundtrack. (The harp they use sounds exactly like the Portal 2 harp lol. Fine by me)
- Maps added to the game, along with a challenges tracker. Idk if you have this on start or if they're gradually unlocked
- Warp pads added to the worlds (in the form of bookmarks named Mark)
- Reptile Roll no longer requires stamina
- Laylee's fluttery jump has been replaced by a more glide-y jump more befitting of a bat
- You start the game already having all the moves (presumably flight is gone or consigned to pads or something). No idea how this works practically. One could assume this means no backtracking, but idk if true
- Since Quills no longer pay for moves, they pay for health upgrades, etc. Also Quill colors are different per level now
- World expansion mechanic has been axed, they just start fully expanded now
- A new common collectable, QUIDS, which is essentially just money. They pay for Vendi?s Tonics and her cosmetic skins. You can now equip multiple Tonics at once, idk how many. My possibly shoddy understanding is that you can beat the game completely ignoring QUIDS and they're just there to give optional rewards & extra challenges for people who want to go out of their way for it.
- Rextro is back. His shitty arcade games are not. He now has completely overhauled minigames that are actual legit mini-games.
- Pagie challenges throughout the game have been improved, either being removed/added/tweaked as needed.
- Laylee is the single fluffiest creature ever known to have existed
