Okay, after re-watching a few cutscenes and reading through BFD's manual, I think I figured out the sort of 'back story' that was hinted at in the game (As well as some other things). But this is only a theory. Okay then: *breathes*

We learn from Batula about an alliance between the squirrels and the panthers which was not successful. BFD's manual mentions the same war, saying that the Panther King betrayed the Kulas of Conk,("the oldest known race of squirrels") which possibly explains the failed alliance.

Additionally, Batula says he has lived in the mansion for 300 years. BFD's manual states that the Milk Wars occurred 300 years prior. When Conker asks about one of the paintings, Batula explains that it is his forefather who "vas a Crusader in a war of long ago." Taking this quote into consideration, it could mean that the "Crusader" character was one of the Kulas.

The manual mentions that the Panther King banished the Kulas to "The Dark Place" which could explain why Conker is the only red squirrel in the game (and/or why Batula is a vampire), that is if the Kulas themselves were red squirrels.

The Panther King himself, upon hearing from Von Kriplespec (possibly The Weasel King whose legs were chopped off, this is further supported given he created the Tediz. Tediz were also apart of the Milk Wars, 300 years prior.) that a red squirrel is needed to fix the table, says: "Squirrel, I've heard of them."

Also, Gregg mentions a certain 'ancestor' at the beginning of the Spooky chapter.
Regarding Chapter X in Live and Reloaded, (and the whole Von Kripplespec continuity 'error'). I believe the order of events happend as so:
- Panther King chops of Weasel King's legs
- Years later, with better technology, Kriplespec betters the Tediz (and it isn't too much of a stretch to say he fashioned himself a new pair of legs as well).
- Beach Dead events (where Von Kripelspec loses his legs, and other body parts, for a second time) occur (notice it is referred to as "The Second Assault.")
- Fortress Deux events occurs
- Castle Von Tedistein events occur
- BFD ("The Last Assault") occurs
- Future War occurs 200 years later. (Also, Conker appears in the opening scene to "A Bridge Too Narrow")
So how did Conker live for 200 years, while Kripelspec and the Panther King lived for 300?
- "Squirrels can have as many lives as they think they can get away with."
- A panther is technically still a cat, and cats have nine lives. Nine lives could definitely let someone live for 300 years, and it isn't too far fetched to say the Panther King was probably on his last life at the end of BFD.
- As for Kriplespec, if his technology is so advanced it can bring the Tediz to life, he most likely used it to sustain himself all those years.
