Okay maybe not I certainly don't have the data on my.

At the very least there are certainly more steps that need to be taken in Tooie a lot of the time to obtain a collectable a lot of the time from what I remember.

Also I'm pretty sure the worlds are bigger.

So this leads to more walking time which was more my point.

(And just to cover myself a little bit here. If that also isn't the case it definitely FEELS like it.)

I remember giving the game a LOT of benefit of the doubt right up until the day it came out. I did my best to defend it or at least temper people's reactions, but then it came out and I played it and I was super pissed lmao.

In hindsight I can see the red flag. I was gaslighting myself.

I still mostly hate that game. I sucked at building vehicles, and the physics were awful. Showdown Town rocks though, and I loved that cart. I always thought if the whole game was like Showdown Town and all you had was that shitty cart, that would have been awesome and hilarious.

Spent all day having a blast making this in Mario Builder 64. Just trying to nourish my childlike wonder a little in these trying times I suppose.

Gonna stop it here tho. The max level size can't fit the whole ship. I was gonna do the 2nd half underneath it but I'd definitely run out of tile data, and sadly the editor only lets you use 10 block textures anyway so I can't make these textures as detailed as I'd want to. Still tho I'm not complaining, I got a ton of joy out of this!
