Here's my first attempt at my Illustration to Photoshop workflow.

Already figured out a few kinks within my pipeline that is gonna make it easier and faster to get what I'm looking for.

I really want the artstyle to stand out and have sort of a grimy and makeshift papercraft sorta feel but I definitely went too harsh here. Too much clashing.

that's pretty cool. do you have specific goals, or a larger project? or is it more exploratory

Love it, I think it looks great! Have you thought about lighting? Lights and shadows could break that up a little more.

It's all gonna be part of the essay project. Sort of a framing device or for silly interludes. It all ends up working out in my head anyway, we'll see how things actually turn out.

And yeah! The plan is to put these scenes in After Effects and add lighting/particles/other animations, this specific location is part of a small 2 minute interlude I'm planning on making of a character walking through this strange city.

Still trying to figure out the best way to texture buildings so that they look both surreal but also read as buildings I really like the first two above but need to change the pink one a bit since it's supposed to look like a coffee shop

getting the colors right has been annoying since it's all done with color math. but this is my first custom miniboss in sm. it uses a background layer instead of sprites so it can be quite big if needed. although, i probably won't make it larger so it was a waste of effort, probably
