My first theory
I think the guys over at Rare had big plans on what would be done with SnS. This is my theory:
Around the end of 1997, people who played Super Mario 64 were tired of it and wanted a new platform game. Little did they know that in about 7 months they would be playing one of the best platform games ever: Banjo Kazooie. One day, Sony people were suspicious of Rare and they decided to send a spy over there to see what they were working on. The spy saw the work being done on BK and called a cab. He was on his way to Sony to tell them about BK when suddenly, the cab crashed into a ditch and the driver and the Sony spy were left there to die. The police found the bodies. In that squad, there was a guy who's children were fans of platform games and they too were waiting for a new game. Turns out the spy has written about BK before he could die...ON 6 COLORED EGGS HE FOUND IN A BIRD NEST INSIDE THE DITCH!!! The police man went home and told his kids about BK. The eldest kid went on the internet and leaked everything. By the following morning, there were already 2 forums and a podcast about BK. It was leaked. Excitement began to stir and Rare was forced to release the game a little too early, before SnS's purpose was fulfilled.... |
