not realy a theory but......

I'm not sure if this would help any with any of the hacking/SNS stuff that y'all have been looking into, but i'm guessing that there might have been different versions of the BK cartridge because whenever i try entering the code ADESERTDOOROPENSWIDEANCIENTSECRETSWAITINSIDE for the egg in Gobi Desert it doesn't work. It's not that I'm typing the code wrong I've tried it what seems like thousands of times checking cpelling each time, and I have not put spaces in it either. once again not sure if this raises any evidence torwards any theories or anything but i thought i'd put that out there

Impossible. All carts are the same. Except if your cart is damaged

That's odd...

I don't think that there are any different versions of the cartridge that don't accept the code.

Maybe your cart is just damaged like BKMaster said. Just minor damage that you don't know of.

I was thinking that might be a possibility, but don't you think that if the cartridge had encountered any damage more would be messed up with than just one code?

Actually I had the exact same problem on my cart a long time ago, but with the ice key code. It's pretty strange, I remember entering the code thousands of times hoping it may eventually work.

It never did.

i have never gotten any SNS eggs for this reason

i tried one of the codes, then another... both didn't work, now maybe i just made a mistake somewhere, but the codes are so freaking long i cant be bothered trying it again and again...

do you have to have the game beaten first, i have always wondered if thats why...

Oh yeah, have you completed it 100%? You need to do so, if you haven't

Are you sure you haven't already opened the door some other time but forgot about it and never got the egg?

No, you don't have to 100% it.
