SNS unlocks vehicle components

To be honest, I don't know where the idea came from, whether it came from within Microsoft or within Rare. But we're quite happy about it because it just hopefully regenerates the franchise somewhat. There are still a lot of people who want to play the old game. It is ten years old but it dates quite well, actually. If you play it, it's now in HD and actually runs at a decent frame rate [laughs] so on an HD telly it looks pretty bloody good. But where the decision came from, I'm not entirely sure. And Stop 'N Swap was a hark back to the old fans. It's bit of a joke, really. If one game detects the other on your hard drive, it'll unlock some stuff.

I had a feeling, well I hope the parts are unique and represents the SNS item.

Thing is, if they Swap all the eggs / key to Nuts and Bolts, what is Banjo Tooie for XBLA going to do about these eggs that were "Already transferred"? Or will there be unlimited eggs or some sort?

Banjo-Tooie XBLA is still a rumour.ONLY Banjo-Kazooie XBLA is confirmed for now.
I always think that new SNS will activate rare vehicle's parts in NB.
I hope so that vehicle's part from each new SNS Egg will be reference to planned prize from each SNS Egg in BT.

i've been saying this since SNS was announced for XBLA, yet no one wanted to believe me, everyone was like, "new vehicle parts joe ? That sounds stupid, we are probably going to get fungus forest, and grunties layer, and all our moves back, and a trip to the moon, and some pudding."

I don't care what the reward for SnS is. I'm just glad that there will be some form of SnS. People should be happy we're getting anything at all. How can you wait for something for 10 years and then complain because it's not UB3R1337 like you thought it would be?

that's my problem here, These little kids spreading rediculous SNS theories and speculation are only ruining the entire aspect for us. They are hyping something that they shouldnt be.

I agree with KEWB, at least they're doing something with SNS, but keeping it new.

I love how the revisited feature of games linking up for the Xbox 360. It's very reminiscent of the connection gimmick Nintendo used to do with GameBoy games (Pokemon) and even GCN to GBA connection. Another 360 game I'm looking forward to that'll do this is Gears of War 1 and 2 with their achievements linking.

Sure, Banjo-Tooie XBLA is a rumor for now, but at least with DLC it can be made to connect to either Banjo game on the 360. Maybe extra DLC will come with it when you purchase it which'll unlock in N&B? If they do decide to port Tooie, I'm hoping more for its multiplayer to be online. Online Tragedy of Tower matches would be AWESOME.

They are hyping something that they shouldnt be.

That's been happening with many games lately. Then people say it was a "disappointment" when it is released. Games that have had long development and speculation such as Zelda Twilight Princess or Too Human have fallen victim. Now I find it best not to worry about any hopes I have for the game and just play the damn thing.

I knew all it would do to detect the Stop N Swop data this time was to check the EEPROM (now XBLA) save file in Banjo-Kazooie XBLA. Seeing as that's where SNS data was permanently stored on the N64 cart. My original theory:

yeah, but see, there is reason to my actions. Letting them have they're fun is going to ruin the whole experience for them in the end. There is room to speculate, but sometimes these kids speculate on absolutely nothing at all, and then get angry if you tell them its improbable.

Then these things come along, and the kids get all dissapointed and claim SNS to be a gimmicky dissapointment in the game. I was meerly trying to stop the kids from expecting too much.

Of course, they didnt listen to me, and thought that new vehicle parts were dumb and rare wouldnt do that, Rare would give them the ability to unlock they're own television studio and a fighter jet instead.
