Chameleon Twist is trying to do something neat. The tongue is a cool idea, but I always dreaded entering a room that would require me to actually do precision platforming using it.

the boss theme is good
I've been playing on Hard. It's not quite like the start of SMTIV where you're getting nuked by mob encounters frequently. It's closer to the start of P3 or P4 where you occasionally get wiped by a miniboss and need to re-evaluate the Personas you have equipped. Atlus' games all have a reverse difficulty curve, so we'll see how it goes.

Finished Dark Souls the other week. Been playing the DSII: Scholars of the First Sin since then and while I'm enjoying it so far it just hasn't grabbed me like the first game did. Some of the changes are welcome (menus feel so much better to navigate through, the equipment load system is better, etc.) but then they made some that are pretty questionable so far, like forcing you to talk to a specific NPC to level up versus managing all of that through bonfires. The world design is also a bit lacking compared to the first game but I've still got a ways to go, so for now I'll just press on.

Today I was unbanned from Overwatch for being too good as Genji in a single game, and before I can even open my Lunar lootbox, I get two warnings telling me that "My gameplay is not in line with how others play."
Excuse me, you shit-stain of a company. They seriously just threatened me for being decent at a COMPETITIVE VIDEO GAME. Instead of doing solo queue, I grouped with a friend and we won pretty much like, 11/13 games, some within the first 2-4 minutes. Bet you I get warned or banned again immediately. Oh, and I won 4/5 of my DPS placements. Put me at 1800. I. Was. Diamond and Masters. **** you, once again, #Blizzardshit. Literal cancer of a community and company. Really ****ing wish I could lawsuit the **** out of them for essentially stealing my money and not allowing me to play a game I purchased because I'm apparently too good for my rank, but they won't fix my rank????

I forgot how much I hated the Oocca temple in Twilight Princess. And the boss fight was equally bad when it decides randomly to turn Link around and lock onto the wrong target, even without me touching the control at all. Like a Shadow of the Colossus titan but with poor controls and none of the skill.

So the third dungeon of Tokyo Mirage Sessions was changed in the west and internationally with the Switch version of the game.
Originally it was a gravure themed dungeon, which is — think sports illustrated swimsuit edition. Now it’s fashion-model themed. It’s sort of like a second-draft of that original dungeon, because the message that Tsubasa needs to dryhump a yoga ball in a bikini to be taken seriously as an artist is kind of ****ed up. But it’s not exactly saved, because having to model at all to be taken seriously as an artist is still ****ed up. The game could easily have used that as a jumping off point to make any sort of point about the entertainment industry. TMS isn’t really interested in actually questioning or criticizing the entertainment industry, at least not thus far. I don’t really have a huge problem with that personally, I never really expected any scathing analysis out of this game. I just think it’s interesting, because the initial reaction to the game’s localization changes indicated that it lost some sort of important facet to the story it was telling. The moral at the end of this chapter is that “Tsubasa needs to give it her all in every aspect of her career.” Whether she’s posing half nude or not isn’t really relevant to the game’s narrative. The game doesn’t really say anything about gravure in the Japanese Wii U version, and it doesn’t say anything about fashion modeling in Encore. Removing the nudity at all is still laughable though, especially considering that the game isn’t actually any less horny.

I decided to continue Kingdom Hearts 3. It's pretty fun, but wild how every plot cutscene manages to reference at least 3 other games
