Pokemon is one of the safest franchises in the world. They experiment a lot with spinoffs, but Nintendo isn't going to make a big a risk and hard difficulty in a mainline game at this point. Even if gen 1 was harder, the times where different, and gen 1 isn't even remembered for being particularly difficult to begin with.

i played an ys game that i strongly dislike for like five hours today, because it's the next chronological entry in the series and it introduces a major character in the next game and also it has a really cute pirate girl who's only introduced three hours before the last dungeon

that's not really a good excuse though because i didn't play ys iv or v, but that's because they're bad games and the good remake of iv isn't available on pc without using a terrible chinese port with the english translation patch

what i'm saying is, i am the problem

I finished Paper Jam! It was pretty good. I'm not sure what I'll try to finish next though. I've kind of started a bunch of games but haven't finished any of them.

Beat Pokemon X, again. I do like journeying far and wide and traveling across the land, even if the battles are pretty easy. Now if I want to put a stamp on this Pokemon-fest I've been having lately, I'm going to have to re-establish contact with a friend I haven't seen in months in order to get my Pokemon Alpha Sapphire game back from him, because even though we are adults, the problem of your friend not taking all due care of seeing that your borrowed games get back to you safely is a problem that cuts through generations.

Maybe I'll just move onto Dark Souls.

I've been playing Pokemon X chainfishing, cause I hadn't found any shiny Pokemon since the original Ruby, which was an Aron, and I only caught it cause I thought males had blue eyes and females red eyes or something. Turned out, it was shiny, and still the only accidental wild shiny I've ever seen.

Also been playing Hyrule Warriors with the lady. I've been working on the adventure map, but man, some of the tiles are just really freaking unfair, even at around level 40.

I restarted Banjo-Kazooie but my N64 is so shoddy that it suddenly froze while I was inside Clanker and I'd only collected about 70 notes and now I don't feel like going back

A game that doesn't give a shit about your time really can't afford to have glitches where you lose progress. I'm trying to enjoy Dark Souls but a single experience like that can turn me completely off it.
