Super Mario Place (a SMW hack)
So, forever ago I posted this thread about a Mario World hack I was creating...
Well, I wasn't here at the time, but I finished the game about two years ago, and thought it worth sharing :) SMW hackers/players is sort of a niche group and I'm not sure how many are here, but here's the links anyway :o Download page (with screens) Video trailer For those interested in giving it a spin, enjoy \m/

It looks really good, I'm not a part of the niche that you speak of, but I might look at downloading this at some point. What's the difficulty like?

Thanks! It starts off really quite easy (the goal was that my little kid brother could play some of it without feeling bad for always dying xp), but the difficulty escalates beyond the original game over time. Of course, it helps to have a gamepad, or at least be comfortable playing on a keyboard :p

Oh yeah, I remember talking to you about this at SMWC after you released it. Really nice hack, one of the best I've played.
I'm not so much into the Mario World hacking scene anymore, but I'll still check up on it on occasion.

Yeah, I posted a hack here. I was planning on making a sequel to it, but there were so many bugs to work out with what I wanted to do that it's on ice right now.
