BRICKED: My First Game
So, I decided to design a little game for some fun. I haven't really settled on a name but I think I am going to call it "BRICKED". It runs off of my own map format and going well.
Basically what the objective of the game is to make it to the end of the map in the shortest amount of time without hitting the walls. If you do hit the walls it will reset you back to the beginning. The character is just a green square, I have no menus, and little computer graphics experience. Overall I think I'm doing good. Here is a pic. Its not near the point where I want to release it, but I would like some opinions or suggestions. I am using the XNA framework so later when I release it you will need the XNA 3.0 Redist. to play. Hmm, sounds like it has potential. Just make it a little more original.
That level you showed looks a little too hard. have you tried adding moving blocks? Or enemies to dodge? Also, I love simple graphics. Don't change a thing.

I'm trying to make it as original as I can. I forgot to mention that it was in the very early stages so I didn't add enemy's yet but I am working them in. The level was a bit hard, but it was a test for my map format so it wont be in the final version, guarantee. And I like that you like the simple graphics, with people that want games more realistic its hard to satisfy people with 2D games.

Maybe you could have power ups.

Looks like a game you'd see on the Atari.

Update: AI Added to chase you wherever you go. The maps now support AI and Character spawns.
