I need a tutor for Gamemaker

I want to make a 2d sidescroller but i have no clue on how to use gamemaker..

can someone be my tuitor who's very familar with gamemaker and help me make it?

Lesson 1: Don't use GameMaker.
Lesson 2: Find a better program.
Lesson 3: Use the better program

It's incredibly hard to even make a 2D game by your self. Most of us have tried at one point, usually giving up before it's finished. You need a team.

Tanjo, most other GameMaking systems are costly. GM7 is fine.

Could be like Mario, like Zelda II, like Metroid... specify.

Also, I have no experience, all I'm good for is creating the midis to enter in gamemaker.

The guy who made the AVGN game did it all by himself, BKSNS made projecteers himself ( then again he used Macromedia fusion devloper. but the guy who made the AVGN game used Gamemaker. )

I found a pretty good Sonic engine to work off ages ago, if you like I can see if I can dig that up from my computer.

Ok that might do... of course it's gonna be in sprites...and i suck at sprites... i have no exp for gamemaker..that's why i need a tutor... i wanna make a game... and maybe more in the future.

If sprites are a problem, and you can't find any good pre-mades on the Net, I could help with that I can use Game Maker too xD But I wouldn't know how to make a Sonic sort of game, Deku would probably be better with that

I'd recommend These tutorials, I used them when I used Game Maker, But I now use a simpler but more limited program, The Games Factory 2.

but games factory 2 relys on your drawing ability. I suck bad at computer art.

For example? If you know nothing about coding, the Game Maker is absolutely best software to start. I can help you too, I'm pretty good at using this software. If you have some problems, tell them.

There may be good Sonic-engines, but what about loops? They are pretty hard to make with GM.
