Gauntlet Legends

Does anyone else besides me remember this game?

Has anyone here even played it? Besides me of course.

It came out for the Playstation 1, Nintendo 64, and Dreamcast, back in the 90's. No, it wasn't as popular as Banjo-Kazooie, Mario 64, Resident Evil, or Final Fantasy, but it was at least just as good. No, it's wasn't better, but it was on par.

I just recently decided to buy this game, along with my Nintendo 64, off of ebay. Good thing is that they should arrive about the same time.

I strongly suggest it to anyone who hasn't already played it, and who has either one of the three game consoles. It's super cheap on ebay.

Well, I know this won't get very far, but discuss the game here.

I remember this game--it was remade for the GameCube if I remember correctly, under the title Gauntlet: Dark Legacy. Very fun and, for the time, quite unique.

Extremely fun and my first dungeon crawler. In fact, just today I was searching for any games similar to gauntlet legends. (co-op, different classes, worlds). No luck, though. If you like GL, you shouold play Champions of Norath. Amazing and very similar if not better than Gauntlet Legends.

I might have played that. It sounds incredibly familiar.

EDIT: I haven't fully played it, but I definitely remember watching my friends play it.

I think you can download Diablo 1 for free now. Or Baldur's Gate maybe?

On steam? well, I don't know if they'll be enjoyable for me, but if it's free/online, I'll check it out

Idk where you would download either one, but they're both so old (like, circa 1996 or 7) by now they'd have to be free. Or at least, like, 5 bucks. Baldur's Gate is from the same creators of Dragon Age, and they even said Baldur's Gate is like Dragon Age's grandfather so to speak. So if you like Dragon Age, you'll like Baldur's Gate.

To me, Diablo 1 is slightly better, but that's probably just me since I've played more of it than I have Baldur's Gate. Kinda repetitive though, I'll admit.

They're both top-down dungeon crawlers, like Gauntlet.

Awesome. I will look it up. And, coincidentally, Square Enix and n-space(?) are working together on a 3DS game that seems to be like a dungeon crawler with voice-chat, customizable weapons/armor/abilities,a nd 4 player drop-in co-op to boot. The voice chat also assumes it has online capabilities. Of course, it was just "leaked" by SE on their facebook page with one image.
