Banjo Kazooie, although Tooie comes close.
Just feel that BK's level's were probably the best designed levels "ever" in a platform game.....and they still look beautiful to me by today's standards. Tooie's level-designs were a bit frustrating at times.......Jolly Roger's Lagoon (+Atlantis) was fantastic though! |

I liked Banjo Kazooie's levels the best, although I preferred Banjo Tooie's "structure" so to speak. The size of BT's worlds was great, and I enjoyed having a specific boss type character to fight.
Full List: BK > BK:N&B > BT I won't rank GR, because the hardware limits give it a huge disadvantage.

The original had the best IMO... would've been better if they could have kept Witchyworld, Hailfire (Mt Fire Eyes) and perhaps Glitter Gulch. There were few in Tooie that I really enjoyed. Edit: Also, Cauldron Keep's music was so epic that it should have had a much bigger level, more like Hideout Helm in DK64.

I liked BK's levels more than the rest. BT's levels were high caliber too, but some of them seemed overly complex if they can be called such a thing. Grunty's Revenge's levels didn't stand out in my mind, even for a Game Boy game. And lastly, I haven't played N&B yet, so I can't judge those. So, BK it is.

I vote BK...
If you think about it, the first game in a series should have the best levels, as each sequel must try harder for originality.

I couldn't decide,so I made a list of all the levels in BK and BT (like the one in the first post) and gave them ratings from 1 to 5.
BT won slightly, with just a difference of 1 point.Jolly Roger Lagoon,Terrydactyland and especially Hailfire Peaks are absolutely awsome, although I also love Gobis Valley and Click Clock Wood so much. |

You forgot gruntildas lair for banjo tooie. I'd say banjo Nuts and Bolts. It's so far the absolute hardest banjo game yet. That challenge where you had to bring the bomb to bottles took me so many tries to do. Spiral Mountain of course is still my favourite level and I like the banjo nuts and bolts design of it the most.

I vote Banjo Tooie. I don't know why, but for some reason I enjoy its worlds more than the BK worlds, for example

Banjo-Tooie. Topped B-K in every way, IMO.
The worlds in B-T are fantastic looking, fun to play in, and perfectly set-up. Not saying B-K isn't like that. But B-T is polished to the bone. |
