Thank you so much <3. Listening to it right now. Seems as though there are many remixes to the original theme. Not that it's really a bad thing.. Just that I sort of wanted some more variety to the awesome Banjo tunes.

WHOA. Just listening to Terrarium of Terror, and the later half of it has a MAJOR Nightmare Before Christmas vibe. I'm assuming someone probably already mentioned that in the previous pages, but I haven't had time to read through it all. But it's like... wow. Terrarium wasn't one I was expecting to be blown away by the music anyway, but that sure as hell proved me wrong when it gets into what I gather are Minjos singing.
Jiggosseum was incredibly epic as well. Loving the little segments of Hailfire Peaks and the Kickball tourney. The 'baseball' theme (I'm not sure what it's called) was a nice touch as well, heh. Oh god, I so cannot wait for the entire soundtrack to be ripped. I mean I thought Banjoland's music was good but it's *all* so awesome... EDIT: How am I not suprised. I just saw the thread about how Robin and Grant were apparently inspired by Danny Elfman, and, of course, the soundtrack to Nightmare Before Christmas was done by Danny Elfman. Guess that explains it, haha. *Very* nice piece of music.

Alright, I downloaded the full ISO and got it extracted last night. I too will begin murdering it.
EDIT: Well I /would/ start if I could find the post of programs to use, but it seems to have disappeared. Can anybody help? EDIT2: Alright, I found the wxripper and goldwave things, but I'm just trying to use audacity first before I install goldwave. I've extracted the disc using wxripper, but I get the same screeches as the other guy. Is there some special conversion thing you need to do? Hi again! ^^
First, I'll give some details for who wants to try to help me with this. So you have the game? Then, normally, you CAN'T access the hidden Xbox sectors, but with wxRipper, you can open the files. There are two executable files included with wxRipper, you need to use wx360.exe. When you have that program open, open the ISO with it, and there you have the true file list! Where things are located: - Bundle: First folder, "4f", probably contains models, textures, etc. Second folder, "50", probably contains some textures and also contains the music. The music I've found is located in the file "685374" - which is the biggest file in that folder ( almost 800MB large ). - Debug: The first folder, "11", contains some small data and also the English dialogue. The other folder contains the videos, which I have extracted. So, about the music. When you extract the file "685374" located in "Bundle" -> "50", and you open it with Goldwave, you will be given some options of opening as RAW sound. Open it with the settings "32bit signed", "Big Endian", and 22050 as frequency. I'm certain that you will be able to find the music I have found then. Sadly, I can't find the other music anywhere. They're probably somewhere in the same file too, because when you hex scan the files, you always find the name of a texture/model/something else, and then some data, which is probably the texture/model/something else itself. And when you search for "music", you can't find anything. But when you hex scan that big file with the music, and you search for "music", it will find a lot of names, for example "MusicBanjoland" and "MusicWorldOfSport" ( surprisingly enough, I also found "MusicMumbosMountain"... OMG SNS?!? XD ). So that's why I think all the music is in that file or near it ( at least in the same folder ). Problem is, I can't open the files. I've done some research, and since they used the *.XMV format ( which is similar to *.AFS, and I was able to convert them to AFS ) for the videos, I think they used the *.XMA format for the music. *.XMA is similar to *.WMA, but nobody found a way to convert it to normal PCM yet. I've read about some programs, for example the program xACT, which is part of the XDK ( Xbox Developer Kit or something ). It's also included in XNA Gamestudio though, but I can't find that anywhere. Does anybody here have it? I don't know though. I'll search some more, but I won't promise anything. Oh, I have the level intros and their music, by the way. Does anybody want to hear them? |

So how do you extract the "685374" and other similar files?

Extract the files from the disc: Using wx360, right click -> Extract File.
Extract the music from the files: Dunno, that's what I'm looking for. XD |

Well how did you obtain the songs from before?
EDIT: Ah, it just screeches at you until you find audio files Last edited by gamer4250; 9th November 2008 at 06:51 PM. |

Then, Goldwave gives you a track with the music. |
