Pilotwings 64, one game that was so fun, so awesome, and was played a lot in my life.

I remember spending countless hours playing the game, especially the birdman mode. I was upset at the lack of a Gamecube one, though.
So I'm hoping for a "PilotWIIngs" for the Wii.
It would for sure beat out Wing Island and any other flying game for it.
So, Pilotwings for Wii? Or no?

I'd love to see a flying game. It'd take advantage of motion sensing and stuff.

I loved that game, no matter how short it was.

I remember how cool it was flying around Little States, in the Rocket Belt and Gyrocopter...

If they DO make a Wii version i'd love a remake of that Level.

I HAVE played PW for SNES, I DON'T think it's awesome, yet at the same time, I DON'T think it's screwy either, so I can't choose in the POLL.

Little States was a fantastic level. I loves speeding meters above the roads in mah GyroCopter.

DUDEEEE, man, I saw this thread and I grinned all too widely. I freaking /loved/ Pilotwings. No, seriously, it's actually my current little obsession at the moment (thus, prepare for a bit of a rant, especially since this game makes me go into super nostalgia 'what the CRAP' mode).

Pilotwings 64 was the first game I ever received on the N64 period, back when I first got one at around, what, 5 years old? Something like that. But yes, I found it to be a pretty underrated game on the '64 and the little recognition it received left me a tad disappointed.

Nevertheless, I loved it, and I still mess around and play the game to this day. I even frequently draw fan art regarding the game because the characters, although lacking a lot of back story (minus Lark/Nester, technically), seem quite likable to me (especially Lark and Goose, might I add.. they just had that odd little charisma, even though their voices were quite "what"-worthy).

Sure, Pilotwings may be considered quite lackluster in comparison to a lot of other games, but man. I love this game a LOT and the fact that it's the biggest bundle of nostalgia I have in game, plus the likability of it all... it keeps a special place in my heart. To this day, I still love making hilarious crashes, soaring through the levels and finding corners to glitch up in, sending myself reeling inside of the islands, Birdman flying through the numerous landmarks, and of course, just replaying through the game and enjoying the missions. I especially was fond of the Meca Hawk missions. ("AHHHHHHH!")

. . . yet, to this day, I can NOT get a perfect score on the last cannonball and hang glider missions FHGSFGS. /Whyyyy./

... fangasming aside, I'd adore a Pilotwings Wii if they ever came out with one, especially if they kept some of the elements, etc. from its immediate predecessor. That'd win hard.

(And on a side note, unfortunately, I haven't played the SNES version of Pilotwings, but I'd LOVE to one day <3.)

I've never played Pilotwings, but judging by the enthusiasm of the fans in this topic, I think a Wii-make might be necessary!

I have played both and LOVE Pilotwings 64, paticuraly when you crash the hanglider! The pilot's expression is hillarious!!!

I never got the game, but always wanted it... If it was done right, I imagine a Wii-make would be pretty darn cool.

Same for me, there should have been an "I played the SNES game, and it was O.K." option.

Anyone else fly into the flame atop the Statue of Liberty's torch just to charcoal your pilot?

Or forget you didn't have endless fuel and end up doing a sawn dive into the sea at 400 ft above sea level?

...now that I think on it there are WAY too many ways to cause self abuse in that game....
