Also word is that this is just like the other N64 games in Rare Replay. Some control updates, but otherwise it's the emulated ROM

Goldeneye 007 is coming to Xbox Game Pass and Nintendo Switch EP. Remaster/port is developed by Rare. My guess is that Xbox version will be more polished XBLA cancelled remaster and Switch will be emulated N64 ROM.

I'm pretty sure the only reason Switch version is even getting online is the system that Nintendo built for online play with their NSO games is abled to be applied universally to any game on the platform with minimal effort. Essentially just a Nintendo version of Parsec.

I really hope we get more than one classic Rare game a year, but it's not looking good at this point. Diddy Kong Racing and Banjo-Tooie should already be on the service, imho.
Still, it's amazing that Nintendo got online play and Xbox didn't. Absolutely massive win for them.
