I thought it was common knowledge that the Gruntilda's Lair tune was based on Teddy Bears Picnic, personally.

Wow, i thought everyone knew that!

when i first played banjo kazooie that was the first thing i noticed, the teddy bears picnic theme of grunty's lair...

are you serious that you didnt know this?
