Looks like there will be 2D-ish bits in it. Fantabulous.

Looks a bit like Sonic and the Secret rings...But hey, I don't know! Let's hope for the best for a good Sawnik Game!

Seems as though Sega integrated both 2D and 3D elements of the Sonic series into one. I'm praying that the transitions will be seamless, as having an entire level in 3D would kill the game (a la Secret Rings). With these 2.5D, Sega may actually be thinking back to the Genesis again for once in their lives. Considering that Sega actually made some ground with Secret Rings, Unleashed may be the diamond that's been in the making for years.

I hope, anyway. Hyper Sonic better be in it, too.

I have a feeling that this is an April Fools joke for some reason...

Confirmed to be on Wii and 360. Thank god. Those graphics got me worried us Nintendo peeps who are too cheap to buy another console would be getting screwed.

Edit: It's no joke, ssh. The screens and footage are too good to be faked and Sega's confirmed it real.

YES.

Now Sega, you have to do this for us. Release a decent Sonic the Hedgehog game. It will be difficult, but hopefully you could get it done. Please!

Also, I could finally comment in confidence now that the images have been confirmed to be real. The Super Sonic screenshots look very interesting. Assuming these screens are from the beginning of the game...why is Super Sonic even there? The last time he was seen at the beginning of a Sonic game was in Sonic 3, and even then he was just flying. This looks like it will have a pretty big impact on the story. Exciting!

I'm worried about the constant changes in camera angles. It looks a bit dissorienting if you go by the video. Hopefully that's not the case.

I'm thinking that some of the camera angles are just there for the sake of the trailer.

It looks good. I'd say some things look way too simple for a 360 game while others look too much power-consuming for a Wii game...o.O but I'm glad it's going to get a Wii version.

The video reminds me of the GBA and DS sonic games style and gameplay. Uhm I hope it turns out good.

This, because they alwasy do this in their games just to make it look cool.

Anyway now that it has been announced for the 360, thats one more game I should keep an eye on.

Hey, he's actually fast in this game.

I could probably run faster than he did in the 360 version.

People like to think that Sonic being fast in a game makes it good.

I like to think that, y'know, the game being good is what makes it good.

Well this game looks promising, especially since they're actually keeping 2D/2.5D sections for once. No more silly overly-complex exploration business.

And, despite it allegedly being confirmed that there'll be one... PLEASE don't make any more crappy supporting characters... >.>

In every screen shot I've seen you barely control Sonic. He always seems to be constantly moving to the right, clinging from obstacle to obstacle. Ooh, sounds fun! They tried this with Sonic Rivals and those games were excellent!

...Cough.

They made a good Sonic 3D game. It was called Sonic Adventure 2. Why can't they do it again? Why?
