notepad files arent the files you can use to inject into the game. Thats just how you can view the bin file without opening a hexeditor. to open the injectable (heheheh) files these are .bin you need a hex editor.

Well i got something. After finally learning i cant use notepad, and must use a hex editor to edit bin files, i got PART of it to work. THe size of the output stayed the same, and all that crap, BUUUUUTTT, i try and emulate it and same thing with Nemu and PJ.

WHAT DID I DO WRRROOOONNNNGGGGG!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

You know what would be great.

If SubDrag made MANUALS!!!

You give us a program but we don't know how to work it! I'm getting the same problem as Airman. the .z64.rom thing.

Tell me what is happening, I'm confused. Hex edit a file, inject into the ROM, choose ROM in, ROM out. Then the ROM should be fine. Unless you're editing in the first 0x100000, then it needs to be RE-CRCed, then it won't work in PJ64, but would in nemu. Which I did forget to support.

But anyways, can you tell me exactly what you are doing and post the file and tell me address.

OK, So I edit the .bin file using Hex, Then I save it, Open the decompressor and say "Inject into ROM", Now it says choose file , I choose thie, then choose the IN rom then it saves the outrom as Banjo-Kazooie.z64.rom then when I try to open the Banjo-Kazooie.z64.rom file with PJ64 or Nemu it says Invalid ROM

EDit: The file I injected was 5C3ED0.bin into the IN ROM Banjo-Kazooie.z64 and the reasulting out rom was named Banjo-Kazooie.z64.rom which doesnt work in Project 64

Well Airman, your problem is probably because it is .z64.rom

Just give it a new name, with a .z64

Or maybe try .v64

you mean rename it afterwards?

because the .rom extension isnt visible to change. The filename is Banjo-Kazooie.z64 and underneath it it says ROM file

and when i open it in project 64 its name changes to Banjo-Kazooie.z64.rom

Edit: OK you can change the get rid of the .rom extension but it still does the same thing

I'm hex editing the file, then in the decompresser, selecting the following things, Inject to ROM: Window One 5C3A58.bin Window Two:Banjo-Kazooie.z64 Window Three: (making file called) Banjo-Kazooie2
