I'm completely stumped on what to write for the hub world! I have no clue!

I keep trying to write things and i don't like them. I Constantly am throwing away little things here and there because they're just... not good. They're not what I want them to sound like.

MY idea of a city is a jazz and/or swing type theme, but I'm completely clueless on what to write. I keep trying and trying, but I'm seriously lost. I know that the hub will mix with whatever I write, but i just don't like anything I attempt to come up with! What should I do?!

A city doesn't necessarily need a jazz or swing theme. I'd just go with ambiance, or something along the lines of Palm Brinks from Dark Cloud 2. It had that atmosphere of being a town, with synthish bag-pipes or accordian... whichever... and stuff.

Maybe so- but that's what i had envisioned. A swing theme like Windy from Conker, mainly cuz it sounds very lively like the city is supposed to be. Plus- i like a theme rather than just ambience.

I dunno though, if I could get some other ideas it might help.

I love Windy. I think something liken that is suited better for huge cities with places to explore, and tons of NPCs to get info off of.

Well that was my whole idea. However, whenever i try to write something it either:

Sounds Stupid
or
Sounds like a Windy Rip-off

Like i said- i'm stumped

just sit on it for awhile
great art in any form can't be rushed. take your time and let it come to you. i am sure you will think of something eventually. after all it is still quite awhile before the completion of the project.

btw, we need to get some modelers to start working pronto. all these ideas are just kind of sitting here

I've been trying to write this song for almost a month, But i get so frustrated, i just quit and work on some other song. It's so annoying...
