Need BK dialogue and particular sprites for a "project".
First, here is what I am needin gthem for: I am making a fan game in Blender, taking place between BK and BT (No it's not Grunty's Revenge). Anyway, so far I've kept the game 95% accurate, using the exact textures, and sprites, all ripped from the game.
Problem: BKTexture tool hasn't given me any sprites of the eggs, font, Jinjo's among other things. I could print-screen them out of Project64, but it would lower the quality. 2nd problem: I've used SRIP to rip sounds from BK, but it only gives me sounds from the opening scene (exactly what RWP sound pack contains). I need sounds of Banjo attacking, Kazooie attacking but more importantly: the sounds they make when they talk. If anyone has any ideas or hints, please help, as the game would make a worthy sequel (or extention) to Banjo Kazooie |

Use bottles glasses to extract models.There is a sprite viewer but it dosent export. You will also need rare decompressor, and the rom map. An my text editor Im working on isolates and views the text inside of banjo kazooie. You need the rare decompressor for that too.

Yeah... about that...
I'm using rare decompressor now, Bottles Glasses lets me VIEW models but not Export them, so I'm currently remaking them from snapshots, BK Sprite Editor tells me "Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow" whenever I try to run a .bin in it, and I couldn't find your text editor. Right now it would be pretty nice if I could get BK Sprite Editor to work... EDIT: I DID get BKSE to work BUT it only displays 20% of the sprites I want to view, and the rest as pixel gibberish. EDIT2: Never mind about Bottles Glasses, I found the recent version that lets me export. Last edited by Milun; 25th April 2009 at 02:33 AM. |

About that, I don't want to change the text in the rom, I want to extract the font Rare used, also the blue bubble font used to display the amount of eggs, feather etc.

Um, BG does allow exporting to .obj. It dumps all the textures to PNG.

I don't understand the Text Editor. I opened up my save state with it but all the text is symbols..

This dosent work on save states. It works on the decompressed files of a BK rom.

Well, I'm not exactly a rom-hacker, so I wouldn't know. My game isn't a mod, it's being made from scratch in Blender.
