I know the exact spot you're talking about falling through the floor in Emerald Coast, and that wasn't a problem in the Dreamcast version. A ton of stuff was broken in DX, and then further broken by the ports of DX. If you're playing the PC version there's mods to restore much of the game back to how it was on Dreamcast. I recommend checking some of those out even for just the texture replacements. DX textures is like the Half Life 1 HD models pack they had in Blue Shift. Doubles the polycount but throws the art direction in the trash.

I was playing on the Gamecube. It is kind of disappointing to hear that the game just keeps getting bad ports. I guess this is more incentive for me to finally get a Dreamcast.

Shantae is getting a reprint on both GBC and as a Switch port, so a little bit of that novelty will be lost perhaps, even if the price of the original cart doesn't go down. But I just started a file on Pirate's Curse a few weeks ago and have been enjoying it

Are any of the PS1 or PS2 Yugioh games good? I've never played any of it (physical or in a video game) but I wanna try it out.

I remember as a kid it took me weeks of off-and-on play at my grandma's house to get to the modern day stuff. And then I didn't get any further.

I beat Macbat 64 on Switch. According to the credits, it appears the composer for that game is former RWP moderator, Gold Jinjo. Congratulations to him, the music is excellent. As for the game, it's probably the finest N64 homebrew I ever played. You can beat it in under 30 minutes probably, but it is priced very cheaply.

Been playing the new BattleToads, and its surprisingly not as impossible as I expected. Pretty sure you can win every encounter easily by using the strong shield-break attack though.

Finally upgraded my laptop which is exciting. The new rig has enough power to play No Man's Sky without stress. The repetitive nature of resource gathering and exploring new planets is so satisfying to me, so I'm having a blast with it so far.
Next job is to curb my impulse installs so I don't clutter this up with a bunch of huge and useless games that I won't play haha.

Perfect Dark is gonna take a back seat for a little while, I've become addicted to Spelunky 2. The game is pretty wacky. Can't wait for online co-op to come out.

Did not know you could play NES and SNES online on Switch... played Puzzle League, Puyo Puyo, Super Mario Kart, Mario Bros and Eliminator Boat Duel with my brother for about two hours.
