DK64 was never planned for BK swopping; Rare just put the swopping idea in DK64 to test the connection possibilities between two games before they went ahead with the programming for BT's connection.

BT never got to connect because Nintendo changed the '64, so it was dropped.

@Fox: So, if we were to perform a "trigger" of some kind in a "Conker's Bad Fur Day" Savestate, would we collect the Ice Key? I don't recall any actual triggers in Goldeneye...

So this is a connection test between the two cartridges BK and DK64. They did this test to see if it would work between BK and BT, but dropped it when Nintendo changed the N64 Rambus. This video isn't really Stop n Swop, but proves that BK still can connect with other cartridges and unlock SnS items. Am I understanding this?

How can, as you say "The real way" be planned to use an emulator and save states? Answer that.

Yeah, they have you there, man.

It isn't REALLY the REAL SNS, but the real way to get the Ice Key... just using PJ insteasd of a '64. By forcing it to load the other games data, thus forcing the disable DK64 swop flag to go off, it activated the swop flag in BK, thus collecting the Ice Key. Its still the real way, its just forcing it to do it the real way.

@ Loser Conker: Pretty much, yeah.

Yeah, what he said. ^ @ L-Button
Tell you what, do this with an N64, record it, and then I'll believe it. If it's "the real way" there's no reason for it to not work on the real thing, obv.

...also, why not try the same thing with BK/BT? The eggs are in BT...couldn't we load a savestate of a BT Trigger, and then load BK next to the wine barrel in MMM?

Wow... It's a roundabout, not exactly the way it was meant to be, way of doing it, but still, nice job. *nods*

According to Runehero's research, the BT triggers are incredibly hard to locate, so it would be hard to set off.

Rawares patent described a similar method to mine. So why would it be fake?

Well, let's say this again:

When you load a save state from another game, it tends to confuse the emulator, causing errors. For example, if you load a SM64 Sava state in other game, it causes something similar to a cartdridge tilt, in this case, it causes an item collection, the ice key.
