If by serious you mean "genuine," then I'm serious all the time. I'm just not usually direct when I talk.
I'm just sayin' I don't really like Anderson's idea on how to deal with the level scaling, though I dunno if I can explain it much better. |

Ah, I see what you mean, so it's psychological more than anything. People will see it as having their Pokemon forcefully ripped away each time they start a new region if there isn't the justification that they bought a new game.

Hey, if you want to have all your pokémon ripped away each time you start a new region, simply play all the old games in the order you like in a row. Same effect.

We can now link American Psycho into this thread.
In regards to the 'Multi-Region Game' idea, I'd probably be against choosing regions in any desired order simply because having a set order could have great potential in creating a solid storyline, as well as what likely would be a clear reason to go from one place to another. It also would take away the hassle of trying to sort out the problem of having different level boundaries and item placements per region based on user choice, (You're hardly want to start the final region with your level 50+ pokemon and find pokeballs, and it'll hardly be fair to start a region and find ultra balls either) when so much more could be focused on. There's also many other things to consider, including contests and safari zones. I would like a multi-region game. Not strictly over old regions, just something that'll seem a bit different from the usual pkmn formula. If we're talking 3 or more regions, then I'd be for increasing the level cap or, like 1UP said, cutting the amount of EXP gained. |
