Toad's Tool 64 0.5 Beta Released!
VL-Tone has released the new 0.5b version of his level-editor for Super Mario 64! You can find it on his blog at
http://web.mac.com/qubedstudios/iWeb...Blog/Blog.html. As SubDrag posted in the 0.3b thread, you need the SM64 ROM and to extend it with the SM64 ROM Extender found at http://homepage.mac.com/qubedstudios/Mario64Tools.htm. Directly from the site: New features and improvements in 0.5b: •Updated to Macromedia/Adobe Director MX 2004 10.1.1 (from 10.0) which reduced the size of the program by almost 50%! •The update to 10.1.1 might also fix a few "crashing" bugs and some other issues. •New feature to set Mario's size. •A checkbox to force the high polygon Mario model to be used all the time. Bug Fixes in 0.5b: •Fixed a bug that caused a script error "#loch" when quitting. •Fixed the "#forecolor" script error bug that would happen in certain circumstances when the ROM couldn't be open. •The texture editor should now work correctly, it was broken in 0.4b, causing certain textures to be wrongly imported as 32x32. •Also in the texture editor, saving the texture to ROM shouldn't cause a script error anymore. •Reverting a texture from ROM should now update the thumbnail grid accordingly. |

Whoo, I love these editors, I'm currently playing around with Goldeneye Setup Editor and Toad's Tool, I hope more editors come out for different games like a DKR with costume tracks is that even possible could you actually change the whole terrain? Anyways back on topic, how do you change textures?

Well, I checked, and once you're in the "edit textures" section, there's a button called "import from PNG...". So that's how you import textures. I don't think there's any way to directly edit them inside the editor. You can export them and edit them in an image editing program such as Photoshop, GIMP, or even Paint.
