Some other interesting SpaceWorld text. MISC is definitely weird there. Does it rip the ROM properly slaphappy? Keep in mind some files extracted may be bogus, but most should be right.

Yes, I ran the BK and BT ROMs through and it looks correct. Thanks again for putting that back in.
I dropped the ROMs in their own directories so all the extracted files would be in one place for each. Then use a simple windows search using the search within file for text to find cool things in the files. This really is great fun to look through. And yeah, I don't remember the quiz at all. It's pretty funny. DOLBY AND THE DOUBLE-D SYMBOL ARE TRADEMARKS OF DOLBY LABORATORIES. SHOW DEMO 2000 NINTENDO/RARE. GAME BY RARE. Show Demo? And kinda funny there is text telling you where all the jiggys are in each level: BEHOLD THE JIGGY SECRETS OF MAYAHEM TEMPLE... 1. DEFEAT TARGITZAN 2. INSIDE TARGITZAN'S TEMPLE 3. TOP OF TARGITZAN'S TEMPLE 4. RECOVER TARGITZAN'S STOLEN GOLD 5. WIN THE KICKBALL GAMES 6. KILL THE PLAGUE OF FLIES 7. QUICKSAND AREA IN JADE SNAKE GROVE 8. SLEEPING JADE SNAKE 9. QUICKSAND AREA IN PRISON COMPOUND 10. STONE COLUMNS IN PRISON COMPOUND

I think the cheat was CHEATOJIGGYWIGGYSPECIAL, but that might be a different one.... EDIT: Also, I found this text in the BT set, but I'm pretty sure it's only in BK... Quote:

Ah, the GETJIGGY cheat. Thanks, not sure I ever used that.
As for: WOW...ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE SPECIAL EGGS! COOL...AN ENORMOUS ICE KEY! WE OUGHT TO KEEP THIS FOR LATER... Yes, they are in Tooie as well. Very interesting indeed. [edit] That text unfortunately is not in the PAL version of Tooie. So they cleaned out the base egg and that text. [edit 2] They did however translate Grunty's Lair (Tower Room), Glowbo Cave, Ridiculously Secret Area 1, and Miscellaneous.

OK I have a bit of a problem Its not working How do I get to the stage you guys are at? I open the decompressor thing and say decompress BK and it trys to lacte "Uploadfile" in .bin format. I Assume i need to use a ROM so how do I make it .bin? I tried just renaming in .bin but then in the properties it just reads "Banjo-Kazooie.bin.z64.

There's a few 1172's that are skipped during the Decompress Game function, probably because they immediately follow a blank entry. The fact that you can extract and decompress so many files in a stone's throw is amazing. An incredible time saver and wonderful tool.
Here's a few notes I've made... (I haven't actually hacked much of Banjo-Kazooie, so a lot of this is unknown to me. I've wanted to get into it before, but stuck with GoldenEye instead. Now that GE has been ripped apart, I thought it'd be a good idea to check BK out.) 11 72 00 00 00 00 03 00 - Null 1172 File (0x08) 5C 21F8: Skipped Text AHOY THERE! Good catch. Oops, I tried to fix it, uploaded a new version that should not skip those. Somebody'll have to let me know if it still does.

I'm still having trouble understanding what to do.... So I have a bunch of files in bin format right... then when I say decompress file it says Error not 1172 compressed Am i even supposed to decompress file? Because when I open the text documents of the bin's they open with a bunch of numbers?
Can someone tell me how to get it started.. Because at this point I really dont know whats going on.. thanks -Airmano

To decompress a game choose Decompress Game. You've already done so. These files *are* decompressed already now! But to make sense of them you need to know what you're looking at. The text files I detailed in the documents in first post. Text files are simply ascii representations of what's in the binary format, for easier identifying and viewing. The real file is the .bin file.
