Major Nuts & Bolts site update

Anyway, Banjo-Kazooie.com went through a major update once more on the 2nd, in preparation for the game's release (just over a month away). It features the same developer diaries and animated character mini-biographies (now with sound) as the last version; The Banjo 101 section has been renamed "Go Nuts!" and animated mini-biographies of Trophy Thomas and Piddles, and a new section called "Banjo World Tour," which features the tour videos of the Jiggosseum and Showdown Town, streaming right on the site. The Media section has been updated with a new fansite kit, which features renders, concept art, animated avatars, icons, logos, screenshots, sounds, and even some in-game textures.

Two sections have also been added but are not yet functional: Showroom and Leaderboards. The Showroom is the section of the website where players can upload their in-game snapshots directly from the game and to the website, to sharewith other fans. The Leaderboards, of course, will show off the various Xbox Live leaderboard statistics from the game. Forums have been added to the site, as promised previously, as well as blogs, where various Rare employees will give some news directly to fans. In addition, there should be some more updates as well, so keep an eye out.

The next bit of news is that Rare have made Facebook pages for various characters, for the purpose of fans sending in questions to ask and having them answered by the characters. Banjo and Kazooie, Mumbo, Grunty and the Lord of Games all have Facebook pages. To ask them a question, simply leave it on their wall before October 31st. A selection of questions will be picked out and then answered by that character.

That's all for now, though I'm sure that we're going to get a ton more stuff as Nuts & Bolts' release fast approaches.
